Tracking one last gloomy day

FRIDAY: Another dreary day shaping up, especially this morning. Showers and drizzle will continue through the early afternoon hours. Things will start to come to an end by the early evening. Highs will once again be stuck in the low 50’s with another breezy day.

TONIGHT: We’ll continue to dry out overnight but we’ll hang on to mostly cloudy skies. Lows will fall into the middle 40’s. Some dense fog will be possible by tomorrow morning.

EXTENDED: The fog will lift by the late morning hours on Saturday and we’ll get to enjoy the sunshine for the first time in a few days. It’s here to stay all weekend, warming us into the upper 50’s both Saturday and Sunday. That warmer weather takes a hit early next week with some cooler air arriving by Monday. Highs will get knocked back to near 50, where things will stay for much of next week. Overnight lows will threaten the freezing mark just about each night, so we’ll be tracking a shot at our first frost Monday night through Thursday night. A passing disturbance looks to bring our best shot at rain Tuesday night into Wednesday. As cool as we’ll be, it’s possible to mix in a wet snowflake or two, but the chances look very slim at this point.
