KMIZ

LAKE OZARK, Mo. (AP) — Law enforcement officers say a 26-year-old Columbia man stole a police cruiser before eventually being arrested as he tried to hide under a dock at the Lake of the Ozarks. Kenneth Rybolt is charged with five felonies and a misdemeanor after the chase in Camden and Miller counties over the weekend. Lake Ozark police say during the chase, Rybolt rammed a police cruiser and hit another car before he was arrested. Rybolt was placed in a police cruiser shackled and cuffed but managed to drive way. Police say he eventually was arrested when a Lake Ozark officer jumped into the lake as Rybolt tried to hide under a dock.
