Man seriously hurt in Moniteau County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 45-year-old Tipton man was seriously hurt in a Moniteau County crash just after 6 p.m. Monday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the man was driving a 2006 BMW Z4 south on Route B, south of the Cooper/Moniteau County line, when he crossed the center of the road.

The car then went off the left side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned.

The man was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries.

The report states the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The BMW was totaled.
