Battle football begins preseason practices under new leadership

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jonah Dubinski era is underway at Battle High School.

The former Rock Bridge and Mizzou standout took over the program in late July after Atiyyah Ellison accepted a job on the MU football staff.

Dubinski inherited a strong team from a season ago. The Spartans went 8-2 overall, including a district championship.

The team returns a ton of talent, including running backs Rickie Dunn and Gerry Marteen Jr. Plus - the Spartans added two transfers from Hickman - LJ Williams and TJ Turner.

You can watch our full recap from practice in the video player above.
