Community vigil being held for Fulton missing woman

Missouri Missing held a community vigil for a Fulton missing woman, 25 year old Tori Taylor, who is believed to be the victim of a kidnapping on Monday afternoon in Fulton.

The vigil will was held at Veterans Park in Fulton at 5:30 p.m. Taylor's family hosted the event with Missouri Missing.
Geneva Wright, one of Tori's closest friends, says the family suspected the kidnap victim was Tori after hearing about it.
“I was actually in shock because the kidnapping happened on my birthday,", said Wright.
Wright got in contact with Marianne Asher-Chapman, the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Missouri Missing, through Facebook in order to setup the vigil for Tori, in hopes to bring more awareness for the case. Hundreds of flyers were taken from the event by friends and family to pass out around local cities and areas.
Wright says she's been looking endlessly for clues and tips on where Tori and the vehicle involved in the kidnapping may be. She says Facebook has been her biggest help in getting tips and information on any sightings of Tori.
“We actually went to a couple places in Columbia because they said that they had seen her so pretty much just been out there looking and doing what we can to help try to find her,”, said Wright.
Marianne Asher-Chapman with Missouri Missing says she felt it was her duty to help the family during this time. As she knows what it's like to have a missing daughter.
“I know from all these years that awareness is so important and this is really a very big case and a lot of people working it and a lot of people care about Tori and we just need her to get all the attention she can get and bring her home,”, said Asher-Chapman.
Tori Taylor was reported missing on April 20, according to the state highway patrol flyer. A friend of Taylor, says she saw her on April 21, when she asked to borrow her car and return it the next day.
The friend says she never heard back from Taylor after she drove off. The friend reported the car as stolen after days of no response from Taylor. Fulton police say they have yet to find that vehicle which was described as a black Ford Fusion.
Monday afternoon around 4 p.m. Fulton police officers received a call about a young woman being grabbed and pulled into a car by 3 men, on E. 10th Street. The 911 caller said the car sped off down State Street after forcing the young woman into the car.
The 911 caller, Chrissa Beasley, said the vehicle was a grey dodge charger with tinted windows. Local security cameras caught the vehicle driving near the scene but were unable to capture a license plate.
The young woman pulled into the car matched the description of Tori Taylor who had been missing since April 20. As of Thursday, police say about 100 leads had already come in about Taylor and the grey Dodge Charger.
Police have yet to find both vehicles Taylor was last seen in. Police say sources led them to believe that Taylor could be the kidnap victim and that she may have known the 3 men in the car.
