Tracking intense heat all week, limited rain chances

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and warm with lows in the upper 60s to around 70.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and hot with highs in the lower 90s. Heat index around 100-102.

EXTENDED: Intense heat sticks around Mid-Missouri for much of the week as upper high pressure has moved east off of the Plains. Temperatures reach the mid-upper 90s for most of the week, and with dew points in the mid-upper 60s, we'll likely see the heat index ranging from about 100-104 through Friday. We get little in the way of relief with the jet stream far enough north that rain chances look minimal. We may see a disturbance skirt by to our north late in the week or weekend, but measurable rain chances are looking low with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s heading into Labor Day weekend.
