Fulton police investigating possible kidnapping

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Fulton Police Department are investigating a possible kidnapping on the 500 block of 10th street Monday afternoon.

The vehicle was last seen on security video in the area of E. 8th and State Street.

The vehicle is described as a gray or dark colored Dodge Charger with three male suspects in the vehicle.

The victim is described as a white female who has a thin build and is approximately 5'3. She was last seen wearing a black short sleeve shirt which covered white shorts. She has short brown hair.

Chrissa Beasley, a citizen who witnessed the incident and called 911, said a man in the vehicle was harassing a girl walking near the park. Beasley says the girl looked to be in her teens. She says the car left the area when the girl told the suspect to leave her alone. The girl walked further down East 10th street, where the car reappeared. The same man got out of the vehicle and grabbed the girl in a 'bear hug' position where she could not defend herself, 2 other men got out of the car and grabbed the girl. Beasley said the car then sped off down State Street, where she then called the police.

"He bear-hugged her while she was walking to make her stop again, and when he bear-hugged her hands were down to her side like she couldn't even defend herself then 2 other guys popped out of the car and hurried up and escorted her in the car with the male,", said Beasley.

We are asking for anyone in the area with security cameras, doorbell cameras, or who may have seen the vehicle to contact us immediately.

Chief Steve Myers with the Fulton Police Department says, there haven't been any missing person reports filed as of yet. Myers says the department is working with other law enforcement agencies in locating the vehicle. The vehicle was captured on a nearby security camera, but it did not show a license plate number.

"We'd like information from anyone who sees that vehicle or maybe knows who has that vehicle in our area. The Callaway County Sheriff's Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol has that information and they are also looking for that vehicle,", said Myers.

Myers says an abduction has not happened in years in Fulton, and the department is asking if anyone has any information about the vehicle or the incident to contact the Fulton Police Department immediately.
