SUNDAY UPDATES: Nearly 1.8 million vaccine doses given out in Missouri prior to Tier 3 opening

Missouri recorded 330 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday bringing the total to 483,513 throughout the pandemic.

According to data from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, 2,377 have been reported over the past 7 days.

No new COVID-19 related deaths were reported by the state on Sunday, keeping the total at 8,310. Of those, 8 have been reported in the past 7 days.

The state is reporting 891 people in the hospital due to the virus as of Sunday.

Vaccine distribution continues in the Show-Me state, with the total number of people completed vaccination hitting 631,832.

In the state, 19 percent of people have initiated vaccination, meaning 1,167,753 have received at least one shot. In total, 1,777,068 doses have been administered in Missouri.

In the past 7 days, 225,725 doses have been administered.

Tier 3 of the state's vaccination plan opens Monday, adding nearly 550,000 eligible Missourians who qualify as critical infrastructure employees.
