A man charged with conspiracy to commit murder pleaded guilty on two lesser felonies Monday.
Jared Bears, 21, of Oak Grove, Mo. pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal a motor vehicle and failure to appear in court. Bears was charged with co-defendant Brian Kelley accused of plotting to kill Kelley's grandparents.

Court documents say Bears and Kelley conspired to steal a motor vehicle from one of the victims of the premeditated attack. The same document shows Bears was also charged with missing a 2018 court hearing.
The prosecution recommended sentencing Bears to four years in prison. A sentencing hearing in the case is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2020. Kelley was sentenced to 10 years in prison in January.
