Tracking the return of some scorching heat

SUNDAY: A warm front is lifting back through the area this morning. That will bring the return of the heat back to Mid-Missouri this afternoon with highs reaching the low 90's. When factoring in the humidity, things will feel like the upper 90's this afternoon so be sure to drink plenty of water.

TONIGHT: A warm afternoon will lead to a warm night with overnight lows in the low to mid 70's under partly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED: Dry weather will greet the start of the workweek with the warm weather sticking around. Highs will top out near 90 thanks to a bit more cloud cover in the afternoon. A stagnant upper-level pattern will lead to some pretty similar days. Highs look to top out in the upper 80's to low 90's each afternoon going forward. There looks to be a lot of dry time this week, but some afternoon or evening storms can't be ruled out.
