Tracking heat, rounds of storms this weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild, lows in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 80s.

EXTENDED: A slow moving cold front will approach from the north on Friday, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms mainly north of I-70 on Friday. The front will take its time sliding south across Mid-Missouri on Saturday, interacting with hot and humid air. A few strong to severe storms will be possible on Saturday before the front stalls out here through Sunday and Monday. Storms are possible near this boundary through the weekend into Monday, with highs remaining in the mid-upper 80s.
