Tracking hot temperatures and storm chances late this week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild. Lows in the low 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warm with highs in the mid-upper 80s.

EXTENDED: Heat continues to ramp up this week with temperatures getting into the low 90s by the middle and end of the week as upper winds flow in from the southwest. Thankfully humidity stays in check with dew points staying in the mid-60s. By the end of the week, the pattern starts to break down and a cold front settles in to our north and west by Friday. A few showers and storms will be possible across the northern portions of the state, with better chances for more organized storms on Saturday into Sunday as energy increases across our area. A few storms may be on the stronger side, but it's too early to make a call on severe weather potential at this time. Stay with ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather as the week progresses.
