Intersection reopens after Columbia protest

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The intersection of Broadway and Providence Road reopened around 5 a.m. Monday after protestors blocked the area for several hours overnight.

Dozens of people gathered calling for justice for George Floyd, the unarmed black man who was killed on Memorial Day at the hands of police in Minneapolis.

Columbia police cleared away cones, road signs and a downed road sign after protestors cleared the area.

Several protestors mentioned being back at the intersection Monday night into Tuesday.
