TUESDAY: A Weather Alert Day is in effect with the threat of strong to severe storms by mid-late afternoon. All modes including damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes will be possible. Highs in the upper 70s before storms arrive.
EXTENDED: The strong cold front moving through on Tuesday will clear storms out of Mid-Missouri on Tuesday evening, leaving us with cloudy skies and lingering showers on Wednesday. We're significantly cooler behind the front, with highs falling back into the lower 60s. Wednesday will be breezy with gusts up to 25 mph. Skies clear on Thursday, with temperatures getting closer to normal in the upper 60s to around 70. We keep sunshine through Friday as temperatures gradually warm into the mid-70s. The weekend starts off warm and quiet with temperatures getting close to 80 in some spots Saturday, with rain returning by Sunday into next Monday.
