Widespread frost Saturday followed by a warmer weekend

TONIGHT: Decreasing clouds, becoming quite cold with lows near freezing. Widespread frost expected.

SATURDAY: Frost in the morning, followed by sunshine. Highs in the low 60s.

EXTENDED: Another cold front will make its way toward Mid-Missouri Saturday night into Sunday, increasing clouds and eventually bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Severe weather is not expected, but temperatures will be cooler than normal in the wake of rain, near 60 for Sunday afternoon. Next week, temperatures return to near or just above normal with highs in the upper 60s to around 70 each day. The upper level pattern becomes more favorable for thunderstorm development toward the middle and end of the week.
