One person in custody after central Columbia shooting

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police arrested 22-year-old James Howard Troy in connected to a shooting on April 8.

Troy is facing several charges, including armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and more.

Police responded to a call of shots being heard in the 700 block of McBaine Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Officers found evidence of gunfire, CPD spokesman Jeff Pitts said, but no injuries were reported.

Police taped off a portion of McBaine Avenue near Sexton Road for around four hours.

Troy was in the Boone County Jail Saturday
