Boone County farmer run over by tractor, flown to University Hospital

HARRISBURG, Mo. (KMIZ)

First responders requested a helicopter to take a patient from just south of Harrisburg to University Hospital on Thursday.

A Boone County sheriff’s deputy at the scene in the 12300 block of Route J told an ABC 17 News photographer that a farmer was run over by a tractor. The deputy said the farmer is alive and is at the hospital. Other details surrounding the incident were not immediately available.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman told ABC 17 News that an MU Health Care helicopter took off from Cosmo Park in order to get to the scene. The Boone County Fire Protection District said one ambulance and helicopter were requested and just one patient was at the scene.
