Tracking more summer weather, rain chances midweek

TONIGHT: Conditions remain calm and quiet tonight. A gentle breeze will keep things cool, as low temperatures hit the lower 60s overnight.

TOMORROW: Tomorrow afternoon looks a touch warmer with a high of 84 degrees. Sunshine will rule the day as a traditional August afternoon takes shape.

EXTENDED: Temps will continue to climb into the upper 80s over the course of the week, with a slight dip on Wednesday as a cold front slowly makes its way into the region. Tuesday will bring more warmth and sunshine, but Wednesday will be the first day of the week with a chance for rainfall, which sticks around through Friday. Most of the rain to end the week looks light and scattered, so there will be a good amount of dry time in between showers. Thursday afternoon brings the best chance for more organized and extended rainfall, but by Friday rain chances will drop back to a more scattered chance, and the region should be mostly dry by Friday afternoon. Warm air takes back over to end the week, as next weekend looks to approach the low 90s.
