Tracking strong storms tonight, another risk of storms tomorrow

TONIGHT: An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day is in effect until midnight for strong to severe storms. Storms will weaken after sunset, but heavy rain continues in southern Missouri, with a Flood Watch in effect for Pulaski, Phelps, Miller, and Maries counties. Over 1 to 2 inches of rain is possible in these areas.

TOMORROW: Drier in the morning, with temperatures climbing into the 80s in the afternoon. Friday is also an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for the threat of strong to severe storms from 3 p.m. to midnight. Scattered storms develop in the midafternoon south of I-70, bringing the threat of damaging winds and flooding through the evening. Another inch of rain or more is possible.

EXTENDED: Heavy rain will likely continue south of I-70 through Friday night, before Flood Watches expire at 7 a.m. on Saturday. Spotty showers may linger on Saturday, but there will be lots of dry time this weekend, with highs in the mid-80s.
