Water rescue in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A water rescue was initiated in Boone County after a car was swept away in floodwaters Monday morning.

According to Columbia Fire Department Battalion Chief Tommy Goran, emergency personnel have made contact with the person inside the car. The person is uninjured.

The car originally got swept away at the intersection of W. Driskel Road and Route E. around 7:20 a.m.
