Flood Warning issued May 31 at 10:35AM CDT until June 4 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…

Big Creek at Blairstown affecting Cass, Henry and Johnson Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Big Creek at Blairstown.

* WHEN…From this morning to late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, The west bank of the creek begins to flood.
At 23.0 feet, Flooding occurs at the west approach to the N Highway
bridge located 0.2 miles west of Blairstown. Flooding also occurs
across B Highway near Big Creek which is several miles northwest of
Blairstown.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 20.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 21.0 feet this evening. It will
then fall below flood stage late this evening to 19.7 feet just
after midnight tonight. It will rise above flood stage late
tonight to 21.2 feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall
below flood stage again early Wednesday morning.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
