Tracking a few more chances for showers and storms before sunshine

TODAY: I'm tracking an increasing potential to run into showers and storms this morning as a decaying system moves into the area from the west. Isolated storms will be possible ahead of this main line as it moves along and to the northeast of I-70. Temperatures walking out the door will be in the mid to upper 60s, warming into the upper 70s and low 80s by the afternoon hours. This will be due to the persisting cloud cover and more isolated to scattered storm chances continuing. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking one more system of showers and storms moving through Central Missouri late overnight into the early morning hours of Monday. Temperatures by the end of the night can be expected to cool into the mid to upper 60s as winds blow out of the southeast at 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking showers and storms exiting throughout Monday, leaving the rest of the day dry. As sunshine begins to return, temperatures will warm into the low to mid 80s. This will start the trend of a drier stretch of weather, with plenty of sunshine expected on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Temperatures each morning will start in the upper 50s and low 60s, warming into the low to mid 80s each afternoon. By Friday, although this warmer weather is expected to stick around, a slightly more active pattern will be making a return. Scattered showers and storm chances will arrive during the later hours of the day, and these chances will persist into the start of the weekend.
