Tracking warm weather returning before widespread rain chances

TODAY: I'm tracking a milder start to the day with temperatures in the low 40s throughout the morning hours. Southerly winds at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph will help temperatures get into the upper 60s and low 70s this afternoon, even as a wave of clouds moves into the area.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking any cloud cover exiting throughout the evening hours as southerly winds at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph continue. This will lead to a gradual cooldown, with temperatures only getting down into the mid-50s by the end of the night.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a sunny, summer-like afternoon to start the week as temperatures get back up into the mid to upper 80s on Monday. Tuesday will start warm and breezy ahead of a cold front, as temperatures will be in the mid-60s out the door. By the early afternoon hours, it will warm into the low 80s, but storm chances that grow into widespread rain overnight will mark the start of a cooler, rainier pattern. On Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures will only warm into the mid-50s each afternoon as daily rain chances continue. On Friday and Saturday, slightly warmer weather arrives, but more chances of showers and storms are in the forecast.
