Tracking widespread rainfall before sunshine returns Sunday
TODAY: I'm tracking widespread showers by 6-8 am, lasting throughout the entirety of the day. Temperatures will start in the mid-40s, only warming into the low 50s by the afternoon hours as winds blow out of the southeast at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.
TONIGHT: I'm tracking rain gradually exiting throughout the late evening hours, leaving areas north of I-70 with .25-.50" of rain accumulation, areas around I-70 with .75-1.25", and areas south of I-70 with 1.50-1.75"+ of rain accumulation. Temperatures will drop into the mid-40s by the end of the night as winds shift into the north at 5-10 mph.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking clouds clearing throughout the later morning hours of Sunday as winds continue to blow out of the north at 5-10 mph. Temperatures will warm back into the low 60s by the afternoon hours of Sunday. Even warmer weather is expected to start the week as mornings will start in the upper 40s and low 50s on Monday-Wednesday, warming into the upper 60s and low 70s each afternoon. It will be cloudy and breezy on Tuesday and Wednesday before a system moves through the area on Thursday, bringing more chances of rainfall and rumbles of thunder. After this, cooler weather will make a return for the weekend.
