SEC Nation takes over MU campus ahead of Border Showdown’s return

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Football spent its Saturday in the national spotlight.

Before the revival of MU's 134-year-old rivalry with Kansas, SEC Network brought its traveling college football pregame show 'SEC Nation' and 'Marty & McGee' to Carnahan Quad on Mizzou's campus.

Lauren Rutledge, Jordan Rodgers, Tim Tebow, Roman Harper and Paul Finebaum, alongside Marty Smith and Ryan McGee, helped hype up the fans ahead of the first meeting between the two rivals in 14 years.

It marked the first time 'SEC Nation' was held in Columbia since the 2019 season.

The Tigers rallied to defeat the Jayhawks 42-31 in the renewal of the Border Showdown, completing the program's largest comeback (15 points) in a decade.
