Mizzou football falls outside of preseason AP Top-25

Mizzou missed out on a preseason rankings, just one year after AP voters placed the Tigers as the No. 11 team in the nation ahead of the 2024 campaign. Coach Drinkwitz and his team spent most of the season in that Top-25 and ended the year at No. 22 overall.
Headed into a new year, MU is in the midst of multiple position battles and changes in player-leadership. Every captain from the 2024 season graduated, as the Tigers look to fill some pretty big shoes. Position battles are quarterback and left tackle have stolen the show at fall camp, however, the depth the Coach Drinkwitz added to the wide receiver room, running back room and just about every position on defense has shined, as well.
After the Tigers wrap up fall camp, the 2025 season will kickoff on Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. against Central Arkansas.
