Tracking severe storms tonight and a cooler weekend ahead

TODAY: Friday is an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day. Read our latest blog for more details. Today will be sunny and warm, with a high near 80 before a line of storms brings all types of severe weather between 4-8 p.m.

TONIGHT: We will have a chance for showers overnight, but the severe threat will end by 9 p.m.

EXTENDED: Saturday and Sunday will be dry and cooler. Highs are expected in the 60s Saturday with a southwest to westerly breeze. We will be in the 50s Sunday amid a northerly breeze. We'll rebound into the 70s early next week ahead of our next rain chance on Wednesday.
