Tracking a warmup and a quiet weekend
TODAY: Thursday will be warmer, and starting sunny. Highs will reach the upper 40s under increasingly cloudy skies. Winds will be variable, from the northwest in the morning to a southerly breeze this evening.
TONIGHT: As high pressure leaves, an are of low pressure moves in overnight. The warm front brings a shower chance early Friday, but lifts to the north quickly.
EXTENDED: Most of the daylight hours will be sunny on Friday, and with south winds, warm as well. Highs reach into the 60s for most. A slim rain chance returns Friday night along a cold front, but most rain from both rounds will be mostly north of I-70. A few hundredths of an inch are forecast. Saturday and Sunday are dry and sunny, but cooler as highs only reach 50s both days. Sunday is warmer, though, nearing 60. Warmer than average weather surges in next week, to bring highs in the 70s.
