Tracking widespread rain and storms tomorrow, strong winds Wednesday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy with lows in the lower 50s.

TOMORROW: Rain and storms with gusty winds. Highs in the upper 50s. A few strong storms possible by afternoon.

EXTENDED: Clouds are already streaming in ahead of low pressure that will throw all kinds of changes at us tomorrow. We'll start the morning with scattered storms before sunrise, with widespread rain taking over the entire area by mid-late morning. Heavy downpours and small hail will be possible in this morning round that moves east by mid-late afternoon. We'll see about an inch of rain with that wave. If the atmosphere can recover from the morning round, we could see some isolated strong storms that could develop and move west to east between 4-8PM. If these do develop, winds will be strong enough for all hazards. Later in the evening, low pressure continues to track right over us, so we'll likely have some dry time. By Wednesday morning, wrap-around precipitation could fall as snow that could leave a dusting to half an inch of accumulation on the grass and blow around, reducing visibility for the morning commute. Snow exits early, leaving us cloudy and very windy on Wednesday. Winds could gust to 40-50 mph, dropping wind chills into the low to mid-20s through the day. Winds finally ease on Thursday and temperatures rebound back to the upper 40s. Friday will be more mild with a chance for light rain and highs in the upper 50s. The weekend is looking mild and sunny with highs in the 50s Saturday, near 60 on Sunday.
