Tracking cooler weekend temperatures as elevated fire risk persists
TODAY: Temperatures will cool dramatically compared to recent days, as highs struggle to the 40s with steady winds out of the north. Humidity remains low, below 30% in the afternoon.
TOMORROW: Sunday morning will be bitterly cold in the upper teens, but the weekend ends on a high note in the low 50s. Winds from the south will be fairly calm.
EXTENDED: Burning is highly discouraged this weekend as elevated fire weather conditions persist. Humidity is low and vegetation is dry with a light drought in the area, and a few brush fires have broken out in recent days. Relief arrives early next week with low rain chances on Monday and better rain and storm potential on Tuesday. Wednesday will be blustery and cool again with more rain chances late week.
