Tracking near record low temperatures overnight, dangerous wind chills

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and bitterly cold with lows around -5. Wind chills between -15 and -20 by daybreak.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and frigid with highs in the mid-teens.

EXTENDED: Overnight lows could dip to a few degrees below zero, with a wind chill around -15 to -20 by daybreak. Tomorrow is sunny and cold again with highs in the mid-teens and wind chills in the single digits during the day. The Weather Alert Day wraps up Friday morning as lows fall to near zero, but thankfully we'll start gradually warming up as highs get back into the mid-20s. Saturday morning is chilly with lows in the teens, but we get back above freezing by afternoon with highs in the upper 30s. We'll end the weekend on a mild note with highs near or just below 50. Next week is looking mild to start with highs near or just below 60 degrees Monday and Tuesday. I'm keeping an eye on a chance for rain by mid-week, but temperatures look to be near or above average all week.
