Tracking snow and extreme cold before a big change next week

TODAY: Snow showers will bring accumulating snows areawide. Get the latest on our ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day here. Expect a high near 10 degrees and snow through the day.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the single digits overnight. Snow continues until early Wednesday.

EXTENDED: Wednesday morning, snow will wrap up before sunrise. This system will leave us with lingering road impacts and cloud cover. We could see extended flurries with this cloud cover, but measurable snowfall will end by daybreak. Thursday morning is the coldest, as arctic air peaks to drop our temperatures into the 5-10 below range across the region. Friday will be slightly warmer, as highs reach into the 20s. Over the weekend, Saturday and Sunday reach 30s and 40s respectively, with a good chance at 50 by Monday.
