Mizzou adds to SEC’s top transfer class, signs former Colorado State tight end
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Football has added some depth to its tight end room.
Head Coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff bolstered their talented transfer class by signing tight end Vince Brown II, marking the team's 16th addition through the portal this offseason.
According to On3, MU has currently assembled the top-ranked transfer class in the SEC and the second-best group in the nation, trailing only Texas Tech.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound tight end will bring a veteran presence to a unit led by former All-SEC Freshman selection Brett Norfleet. Brown started his career at the junior college level where he won a pair of NJCAA National Championships at the College of DuPage before transferring to Colorado State for two seasons.
Most recently, the Illinois native posted his best season at the NCAA Division I level in his final campaign at Colorado State. Brown caught 24 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns over 13 games, highlighted by a two-touchdown performance at Utah State in November.
The three-star transfer is the first tight end and seventh player on the offensive side of the ball to join the Tigers through the portal. Mizzou has also received signatures from eight defensive players and one specialist this offseason.
