Four-star running back flips commitment to Mizzou

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The regular season only ended a little more than 24 hours ago for Tiger football, but head coach Eli Drinkwitz is already on the recruiting trail.

On Sunday night, Coach Eli flipped four-star running back Marquise Davis' commitment from Kentucky to Mizzou. The Ohio-native had been pledged the the Wildcats since May, but changed his mind after paying a visit to Columbia over the weekend.

The news was first reported by On3 and then later reposted by Davis on his social media accounts.

According to On3, Davis the 14th-best running back in the 2025 class and seventh-best recruit in the entire state of Ohio.

He is now joining Drinkwitz's Top-20 recruiting class. Davis is committed alongside fellow running back Jamarion Morrow, who announced his intent to attend Mizzou during the summer.

Overall, Mizzou has 17 commitments in the Class of 2025, ahead of National Signing Day. You can find a full list of players who've committed to MU below (rankings are all according to On3).
