One man hurt after a shooting in Columbia late Friday night

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man was shot in Columbia late Friday night, according to a release from the Columbia Police Department.

The shooting happened at around 11:55 p.m. Friday night, the release states. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1600 block of W. Business Loop 70. Police found that a man had been shot and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.

The release states this incident is an ongoing investigation.
