Eldon man seriously hurt after motorcycle crash in Moniteau County Friday afternoon

MONITEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

An Eldon man was seriously hurt after a crash involving a car and motorcycle in Moniteau County at around 2:40 p.m. Friday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states the crash happened on MO 87 about 600 feet north of Shalom Dr. Alexander Lusher, 20, of Eldon was riding a 2015 BMW S1000R motorcycle south on MO 87 when he crossed the center of the road and hit a 2018 Subaru Outback driven by Gloria Moody, 72, of California, Missouri.

Lusher was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. He was flown to University Hospital for treatment. Moody was uninjured, according to the report.

The report states Lusher was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Moody was wearing a seatbelt.

The motorcycle was totaled and the Subaru had extensive damage, according to the report.
