A man accused of shooting and killing another man in the parking lot of the Conley Road Walmart in Columbia has a jury trial scheduled.

Issac Hollis, 26, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25. A jury trial is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Hollis is accused of shooting a man in the parking lot of the Walmart on March 18. The victim later died at an area hospital. The victim has not been publicly identified by police or court documents.

Court documents claim Hollis had shot another man who was walking away from him following an argument. Hollis allegedly told police that he did not see the victim holding a weapon and referred to the shooting as “unjustified,” court documents say.

Multiple people reported seeing the shooting.
