COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man accused of murdering another man in the Conley Road Walmart parking lot in Columbia appeared in court on Wednesday.

Issac E. Hollis, 25, was charged on Tuesday with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.

Hollis appeared in court on Wednesday without an attorney, according to the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. A bond hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, while a preliminary hearing was scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 16.

The name of the victim has not been released. Court documents claim Hollis had shot another man who was walking away with him following an argument. Hollis allegedly told police that he did not see the victim holding a weapon and referred to the shooting as “unjustified,” court documents say.
