Fog slowly lifts out of mid-MO, tracking next snow chance

TONIGHT: Quiet overnight with lows falling back into the mid to upper 20s under mostly cloudy skies.

TUESDAY: Patchy morning fog is possible. Clouds will increase throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 30s. Moisture will increase across the region late Tuesday night, with snow breaking out across southern mid-Missouri by 10pm.

EXTENDED: The system bringing snow Tuesday night will be a fairly light event. The majority of the accumulating snow will fall between midnight and 7am. The timing makes this system tricky. Snow will have fallen and accumulated, likely still falling for the morning commute. Amounts will be fairly light with around 1" expected for the I-70 corridor, with 1-2" (some spots seeing 3") along and south of HWY 50. The snow will stop late in the morning Wednesday will some afternoon sunshine peeking out.
