Two seriously injured in Moniteau County crash

MONITEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two men were seriously injured Sunday night in a Moniteau County crash on Route O, about a mile south of Painters Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states the crash occurred as a 2023 Kia Telluride was heading southbound on Route O and went off the right side of the road. The driver – Christopher Ferguson, 38, of Iberia – overcorrected, causing the Kia to slide off the left side of the road, hit an embankment and overturn, the report states.

Ferguson and his passenger – Marco A Garcia Feuntes, 45, of Jefferson City – suffered serious injuries and were brought to Capital Region Medical Center by ambulance, the report states. Ferguson was wearing a seatbelt, Garcia Fuentes was not, the report states.
