Man dies after being hit by car while walking across highway

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 36-year-old man died after being hit in the roadway in Boone County.

Amrinder Singh died after he was hit by a car on Westbound I-70 Drive Southeast West of Rangeline Road according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital.

Tina Reeves, 48, was driving her 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer at the time of the accident. According to the crash report, she was heading westbound around 11:35 p.m. when the deadly crash happened.

The accident did close the road down, but it has since reopened.

This is Troop F's second fatality this month and 43rd this year.
