Tracking dry time for football today, soggier game tomorrow

TODAY: Friday will be a bright day with temperatures hovering around 80. High school football games will be dry with temperatures falling into the 60s after sundown.

TOMORROW: Scattered showers move in early Saturday, likely lasting through the Mizzou kickoff. The early afternoon could luckily be the drier part of the day with coverage dwindling throughout the game, but rain gear will be needed. A round of stronger storms is possible Saturday evening along a cold front, with marginal severe winds and hail.

EXTENDED: Rain exits by Sunday, with highs in the 70s both days of the weekend. We reach the lower 80s again, above average for this time of year, before more rain mid-next week.
