DHSS reports ‘possible measles exposure’ at Sedalia train station

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services announced in a Wednesday press release that a Missouri resident who contracted measles boarded a train in Sedalia on Aug. 27.  

The release says the resident is not from Pettis County “and was only traveling through the Sedalia train station enroute to their intended destination.”

Train 318 was headed to Chicago. Details about the possible measles exposure are limited, per the release.

The DHSS says those who may have been exposed should look for symptoms for 21 days from the date of exposure. People who think they may have measles should contact their healthcare provider.
