Stover man killed in Morgan County crash Wednesday night

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Stover man died in crash Wednesday night in Morgan County.

Michael Kern, 79, died after his F150 overturned on Ivy Bend Road south of Bern Chipmunk Trial Road at 10:57 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the crash happened when Kern's vehicle crossed the road and skid. The vehicle then flipped and landed on its side against a tree.

Kern was pronounced dead at scene.

The Highway Patrol reported Kern was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

This is Troop F's 36th fatality in 2023.
