Two people suffered serious injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash on Route A, about a mile south of Moberly, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as a 2020 GMC Sierra Truck – driven by Terry Bagby, 81, of Huntsville – was heading eastbound and failed to yield to a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan heading southbound. Bagby’s vehicle pulled into the path of the Dodge -- which was driven by Patrick Boone, 72, of Sturgeon -- according to the report.

Boone suffered a serious injury, as did one of his passengers, Jan Boone, 52, of Sturgeon. Another passenger in the Dodge – James Boone, 70, of Higbee – suffered moderate injuries. All three wore seatbelts and were brought to University Hospital in Columbia by ambulance, according to the report.

The Dodge was totaled, while the GMC had moderate damage, the report states. Bagby was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
