Fulton man hurt in single-vehicle crash Saturday evening

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Fulton man is recovering in a hospital after getting into a car crash Saturday evening in Callaway County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Elijah Mayfield, 24, was driving Westbound on Route H East of Wayne Drive just before 7 pm on Saturday evening. The report says the crash occurred when Mayfield drove off the right side of the road and hit several trees before his car caught on fire.

The report says that Mayfield was not wearing a seatbelt.

According to the report, he was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.
