Mizzou’s Isiaih Mosley leaving to pursue pro career
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Rock Bridge alum Isiaih Mosley will not be featured on the 2023-24 Mizzou men's basketball roster, as he announced he is leaving college to pursue a professional career, on Wednesday.
In a social media post, Mosley said, "Appreciation overflows as I reflect on my journey as a Mizzou Tiger. From a kid in CoMo to a proud member of this remarkable community, I am immensely grateful. To my incredible teammates, coaches and especially Desiree Reed-Francois and Coach Gates, thank you for helping shape me into the athlete I am today."
Mosley played for the Tigers for one season, after transferring from Missouri State. His return to Columbia was much-anticipated by Mizzou hoops fans, however, he didn't play quite as much as those fans would have hoped.
He did have his moments in a Tiger uniform. Arguably, his best outing of the season came against Coastal Carolina when he went off for 23 points. He also dropped 19 points on Alabama and 20 points on Ole Miss in conference play. He played in 14, total, games for head coach Dennis Gates.
Before committing to Mizzou, he was a major transfer portal target for other colleges. In his final season as a Missouri State Bear, he averaged about 19 points per game.
