2 foreign nationals die in small plane crash in Croatia

ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) — Croatian authorities say that a small plane has crashed in a northern town, killing two people on board. The Croatian government’s traffic ministry says the plane crashed during takeoff on Friday at the airport in Pula, which is located in the Istria peninsula. A statement says authorities have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Pula airport officials say that the victims were foreign nationals. Istria and the rest of Croatia’s Adriatic Sea coastline are a very popular tourism destination for travelers from all over Europe and wider.
