Tracking much needed rain through Tuesday
TONIGHT: Light to moderate rain showers. Cool with breezy northwest winds. Lows near 50.
TOMORROW: Showers likely and cooler with highs in the mid-50s. Winds could gust up to 30 mph.
EXTENDED: Steady light to moderate showers are expected all night into Tuesday as low pressure will track to the northeast across the state. Showers look to exit to the east before sunrise on Wednesday, leaving us with some gradually decreasing clouds. Temperatures dip to the mid-50s tomorrow with rain throughout much of the day, and will drop to about 40 by Wednesday morning as showers exit. The rest of the week will be seasonable with highs in the lower 60s and lows in the lower 40s. I'm tracking another area of low pressure that looks to get cut off from the main flow of the jet stream on Friday, and bring a few showers to areas mainly along and south of I-44, but any shift north could give us a chance at scattered showers between Friday night and Sunday night for the southern half of the area. Rain totals will be in the 1-3" range, with the highest concentrated totals along and east of Highway 63.
