UPDATE: Body found at Rocky Fork Conservation area believed to be missing 45-year-old woman

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

NEW: A citizen reported that they had discovered human remains in one of the bodies of water within Rocky Fork Conservation area.

Officials recovered the body of an adult female, who is believed to be that of Angie Rice. Angie Rice, age 45, was reported missing in December 2021.

Her vehicle was located in a parking area at Rocky Fork Conservation Area on Dec. 31. Numerous searches of the area have been conducted since Rice was reported missing; however, Rice’s body was not located during those searches.

UPDATE: Gale Bloomenkamp with the Boone County Fire Protection District confirmed that a body has been discovered in the area.

ORIGINAL: Around 6 p.m. on Sunday, crews from the Boone County Fire District and the Boone County Sheriff's Office were on scene at Fingers Lake Park off East Peabody Road.

ABC 17 News Crews on scene said it appeared that crews were preparing water rafts for a suspected search and rescue operation.

Police on scene have denied comment at this time, but ABC 17 News have reached out to both agencies for more details.
